How long a printed book takes
- Preview: about 10 minutes. You read the whole book on screen before you decide to print anything.
- Printing: 2–4 business days. Every book is made to order; there is no shelf to pull one off.
- Shipping: 5–14 business days. Free, worldwide. The slow end is the honest end for long-distance orders in December.
That is up to about 25 calendar days from order to doorstep, which is where the 28 November date comes from. It is not a scarcity tactic — it is the arithmetic.

The digital preview is ready in about ten minutes and is yours to keep, so a book ordered on the 23rd can still be read together on the 25th. The hardcover follows in January, which turns out to be a rather nice second present.
